Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how imakeit.ai collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you use our AI image generation and editing service.

Last updated: September 8, 2026

1. Scope and operator

This Privacy Policy applies to imakeit.ai and the websites, features, and services that link to it (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated under the imakeit.ai brand. In this policy, "imakeit.ai," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Service.

By using the Service, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the Service.

2. Information we collect

The information we collect depends on whether you use the Service as a guest or through an account and which features you choose to use. It may include:

  • Account information. Your email address, name, password authentication data stored in protected hashed form, account preferences, session information, and account creation and update times.
  • Third-party sign-in information. If you sign in with Google, we may receive your Google account identifier, verified email address, name, and profile image.
  • Generation information and content. Your prompts, uploaded reference images, generation settings, generated outputs, task status, error details, and, for signed-in users, generation history.
  • Purchase and subscription information. Your plan, credit balance and activity, orders, subscription status, payment status, and transaction identifiers. Payment providers process complete payment card details; we do not receive or store complete card numbers.
  • Technical, usage, and security information. Your IP address, browser and device information, pages and features used, timestamps, performance data, diagnostic logs, and anti-fraud or anti-abuse signals.
  • Communications. Information you include when you contact us for support, exercise a privacy right, or otherwise communicate with us.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • Provide image generation, image editing, downloads, history, account, subscription, and credit features.
  • Authenticate users, maintain sessions, and support account verification and recovery.
  • Process purchases and subscriptions, maintain billing and credit records, and provide related customer support.
  • Operate, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance and reliability of the Service.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms or applicable law.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety, and property of users, imakeit.ai, and others.

4. AI generation and user content

We process prompts, uploaded reference images, generation settings, and generated outputs only as needed to provide the generation or editing request, maintain the features you use, secure the Service, and meet the retention purposes described below. These materials may be transmitted to cloud storage and AI inference providers acting on our behalf.

We do not use your prompts, uploaded images, or generated outputs to train AI models, and we do not authorize our service providers to use them for that purpose.

You must have all rights, licenses, permissions, and consents needed to upload and process content through the Service. If an image contains an identifiable person, you are responsible for obtaining any consent required to use that person's image or likeness. You must not upload content that infringes another person's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, session management, security, anti-abuse protection, preferences, and core Service functionality. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent some features from working correctly.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how people use the Service and to improve its features and performance. Google Analytics may process information such as page views, interactions, browser and device details, and approximate location derived from an IP address, and may use cookies or similar technologies. You can limit analytics cookies through available browser controls and Google's analytics opt-out tools.

6. How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose limited information to the following categories of recipients:

  • Authentication, account, profile image, and session service providers.
  • Payment, subscription, billing, and fraud-prevention providers.
  • Cloud hosting, storage, content delivery, queueing, and AI inference providers.
  • Analytics, error monitoring, security, and anti-abuse providers.
  • Professional advisers, auditors, insurers, and other parties that help us comply with legal obligations.

We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, enforce our terms, investigate fraud or security incidents, or protect rights and safety.

7. Data retention

We retain information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

  • Uploaded reference images are automatically deleted within 30 days after upload.
  • Guest generation information is generally processed and retained temporarily, except where limited retention is necessary for security, abuse prevention, debugging, or service reliability.
  • For signed-in users, account information, prompts, generated outputs, and generation history may be retained while the account remains active and until the account or eligible data is deleted in response to a valid request.
  • Billing, transaction, security, dispute, and support records may be retained for longer when necessary for accounting, fraud prevention, enforcement, or legal compliance.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Residual copies may remain for a limited period in secure backups before they are overwritten through the normal backup cycle.

8. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These safeguards include encrypted connections and access controls appropriate to the information being processed. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Access or receive a copy of your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete account information.
  • Request deletion of eligible personal information or your account.
  • Object to or request restriction of certain processing.
  • Withdraw consent where processing relies on your consent.

To make a request, email us at support@imakeit.ai. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where permitted or required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information contrary to this section, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Service or by other means where required by law.
